The standout from yesterday was DYRHOLAEY, who ran on to win the 6 furlong handicap, though he provided a tense moment by drifting towards the left at the finish.

On to today where there are two evening cards at Wolverhampton and Dundalk to peruse. There are only two I like the look of so far, both running within 15 minutes of each other.

Dundalk

5.00 UNA MATATA - Ado McGuinness' stable is currently in good form, and his five-year-old mare is aiming here for her third consecutive win at Dundalk. She has an excellent record since moving to this yard and really shouldn't be far away again today.

Wolverhampton

5.15 AGE OF TIME - Even with a 6lb rise in the weights to contend with, Mick Appleby's RP McMurphy will still be all the rage in this class 6 handicap. However, I think Ian Williams' gelding can beat him, although there won't be much in it. He ran really well for 2nd at Kempton last time and it will be interesting to see whether the fitting of 1st-time blinkers (replacing the cheekpieces) provide any further improvement.
